I disagee on the emotion factor. I thought that emotion was over exagerrated but under emphasized. Also, I agree on how the voices put your to sleep, but for different reasons. I wasn't bored just lazy and sleeping is the only task a lazy person likes.

Someone else asked the same question about the 3 questions, I forget who. My response though is that, does it really matter what he's asking about? I'm not sure he really wants to know if Hamlet's selling toffee apples. Guildenstern is getting at something else entirely.

Also, I think that R&G don't KNOW they're going to die. They just have a lot of very good evidence. it's like they're alive in the box, able to think "any minute now someone's going to come along..." They're heading toward death, but there's always a chance they might escape it. Even if they don't. There was a chance at least.

Appeals are basically how Hamlet sets ideas of his emotion, logic, and characters. I actually disagree, I feel that Hamlet is angry with his mother and wouldn't mind hurting his mother's feelings. I know he doesn't want to physically hurt her but he is disgusted with how fast his mother got over his father's death.

Olivia, I'm pretty sure Mrs. Duke posted a link on the website at the beginning of the year to help you out with this. It is on the Owl Writing English thing. Like Robert I never really thought about taking his mother into consideration but that is a really good idea.

I never noticed how he took his mother into consideration. The appeals are the direction his words are aimed. Who would be more likely to respond and react and to whom would the words be most relevant, that's the appealing part. Like appealing music or sex appeal.

It is so much easier to read than Hamlet! It's so much more light-hearted and less serious. The language seems so different, even though it is the same. Maybe it is because it is so much less serious.

I agree with the project ideas, and you should read my blog about my ideas too, even though we will discuss them tommorrow with the group. I think we all basically had the same ideas about our character, and he is really interesting and entertaining.
